I was really excited when Jen messaged to suggest that we shoot their engagement at Tatton Park. I hadn’t been there for a while and it’s such a beautiful place to visit and photograph.
We got to Tatton early and it was really quiet, it almost felt like we had the place to ourselves while we were walking around.
Zoe & Phil // The Epic Lake District Adventure Engagement Shoot
What a weekend I had capturing Zoe & Phil’s epic elopement adventure engagement shoot around the beautiful Lake District in Cumbria!
We covered a fair bit of ground while shooting around the beautiful Lakes from climbing the steep lakeside hills to capture the epic landscape to romancing around Brougham Castle in Penrith & walking along the nearby river Eamont banks to get that perfect picture. We ventured & trekked through the fields above Ullwater & came across some beautiful white horses peacefully grazing before we made our way to the jaw dropping Ullswater for a barefoot stroll in the lake.
Taking A Trip Down Memory Lane...
Louise & Darren // The Three Greyhounds - Dog House Knutsford
Grappenhall Bell House - Jenny & Paul
It was the 20th July & Paul & Jenny’s Big Day had arrived. The summer was one of the hottest on record & I thought it was going to be a beautiful day.
Only for it to pour down, it didn't put a dampener in things though, as Jenny said it couldn't of been more perfect, she was marrying the love of her life & the weather wasn't an issue.
Hipping Hall Winter Wedding - John & Rachel
Hipping Hall is set in a stunning location situated in Cumbria in the Western Dales & is on the doorstep of Lancashire & Yorkshire.
This Boutique hotel dates back to the 17th century & is the perfect wedding venue to say I do.
It boasts beautiful scenery in & around the venue with sheep grazing in the meadows & rolling hills on the horizon you can see for miles around the Cumbrian countryside.
As soon as I saw the hotel I couldn't believe how picturesque it was, I felt lucky to be apart of John & Rachel's special day.
This was an intimate wedding with only a handful of friends & family present for the prenuptials and for the day ahead.
John and Rachel wanted a relaxed, quiet day & they certainly got that, they styled their beautifully theming it on "Hygge" which is a Danish craze for warmth or cosy. As this was a winter wedding & it was such a cold day, It was certainly styled with the weather and the scenery in mind.
The day was perfect although a little wet starting off (typical for the Lake District), the rain soon cleared up leaving it dry, giving me the opportunity to take plenty of outdoor pictures.
I just want to thank John and Rachel for letting me take part in the most important day of their life's and capturing the memories for them to treasure.
